I received my B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and my Ph.D from the University of Alberta, Canada. My doctoral study involved the synthesis, characterization and reactivity of tris(pyrazolyl)borate supported divalent and trivalent lanthanide complexes under the supervision of Professor Josef Takats. Upon completion of my Ph.D in 2009, I took up a postdoctoral position in the same lab. I joined professor Bazan group at UCSB in April 2012.
