Synthesis of novel fullerene derivatives and ?-conjugated materials for organic photovoltaic devices

Bio

I studied chemistry at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt/Main and started my Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Matthias Wagner in late 2007. I focused on the investigation of novel ?-conjugated organoboranes for optoelectronic devices. During that time, I spent two months in the research group of Prof. Dr. Frieder Jäkle at Rutgers University (Newark, NJ) working on the synthesis and characterization of ?-conjugated hydroboration polymers. After I defended my Ph.D. thesis in March 2011, I received an Alexander von Humboldt fellowship to join Prof. Bazan's research group for my postdoctoral studies.

Current Research

My research deals with the synthesis of novel fullerene derivatives and ?-conjugated materials for organic photovoltaic devices.
