Specialization:
Polymer chemistry, polyolefin catalysis, polymer properties and characterization
Bio:
I graduated from the Anhui Nomal University with my B.S. in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, I worked with Prof. Shaowu Wang on catalytic activities of organolanthanide complexes on polymerization. Then I entered the University of Colorado Boulder working on the design, synthesis and characterization of novel liquid crystal materials, advised by Prof. David M. Walba. In Dec. 2013, I defended my Ph.D. thesis entitled “Ferroelectric and antiferroelectric odd-even behavior in a tricarbosilane terminated liquid crystal homologous series and an electric-field-responsive discotic columnar liquid crystal”. I joined Prof. Gui Bazan’s group in January 2014.
Research:
The novel strategies for the design and preparation of liquid silicone rubber alternatives.
