I received my B.S. degree in Industrial Chemistry and M.S. degree in Polymer Engineering at Hanyang University, South Korea. I joined Samsung Cheil Industries INC. in 2000 as a research engineer, and developed several polymeric materials for electronic devices such as liquid crystal displays and image sensors. I began my doctorial research at UCSB under Professor Gui Bazan in the fall of 2008.

Current Research

I am working on the synthesis and characterization of advanced conjugated polymers and small molecules for organic photovoltaic devices.
