Specialization

Characterization of conjugated polyelectrolytes as interfacial enhancers in bioelectronics.

Bio

I graduated from Florida Tech in 2015 with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Nanosciences/Nanotechnology. During my undergraduate time I was a co-op student at Mainstream Engineering working with Dr. Justin Hill, fabricating nanoporous aluminum oxide templates for energy conversion and storage. Specifically I investigated mesoporous silica coatings for confinement in thermoelectrics as well as platinum nanoparticle catalysts for energy storage devices. I also did a summer REU at UMass - Amherst with Dr. Alex Briseno, working on small molecule synthesis for OPVs.

Research

My current research involves the characterization of the dual conduction properties of conjugated polyelectrolyte materials. I am also studying the effects of conjugated oligoelectrolytes with redox centers on microbial electrochemical devices.
