Bio

I have several research backgrounds in organic and organometallic chemistry. In my three-year postdoc research at WWU Muenster in the group of Prof. Erker (2012-2014), I have worked on the chemistry of frustrated Lewis pairs which led us to discover some new features and reactions of phosphorus compounds. I have received my Ph.D. from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Titech) under the supervision of Prof. Ikariya (2011). During my Ph.D. study, I have synthesized air-sensitive novel organometallic complexes and used them as catalysts for organic transformations. I have received my master degree as the topper from Applied Chemistry at Titech (2008) and I also have also spent a year at UC Berkeley as an undergraduate exchange student (2004-5) where I became fascinated by the power of chemistry to change the society. I joined Prof. Gui Bazan’s group in January 2015.
